Abbott – Schools Will Reopen In Person

Gov. Greg Abbott told state lawmakers Thursday morning that Texas public school students would be going to school in person this fall. The TEA said school districts would not be required to order students to wear masks or to test them for COVID-19. There will also be leeway for families with health concerns to educate their children remotely. The TEA will distribute additional guidance for school districts on Tuesday.
