Blue Bell Fined Over Listeria Incident

Brenham, Texas-based Blue-Bell Ice Cream, has been ordered to pay a record $17.25 million in criminal penalties after shipments of contaminated products were found to be linked to a 2015 listeria outbreak. Blue Bell pleaded guilty to two misdemeanor counts of distributing adulterated ice cream products. They linked at least three deaths to the contaminated ice cream.
