The Drug Enforcement Division’s Dallas Office seized one million Fentanyl pills and 7,000 pounds of methamphetamine in 2022. Most smugglers pressed Fentanyl into counterfeit pain pills, strikingly similar to prescription medication. The DEA Dallas Field Division’s Eduardo Chavez says just two milligrams of the drug is enough to kill.
