Athens Mother Charged With Four-Year-Old Son’s Murder

Monica Figaroa Henderson County officials accuse a woman of murdering her four-year-old son. Deputies arrested 43-year-old Monica Figueroa of Athens Monday and charged her with Capital Murder. The initial investigation showed that a possible edged weapon killed the boy. Figueroa reportedly confessed to the killing to investigators. She’s awaiting arraignment.
