Changes Coming To “SNAP” Benefits

New changes are coming for those enrolled in the SNAP Food Benefits program or what is commonly known as “food stamps.” Starting in early September, SNAP participants age 51 or younger without dependents or a disability will have to work at least 80 hours a month to be able to keep using the program. The age increases to 53 in October and 55 in 2024. With the new changes, They will spare people experiencing homelessness, veterans of all ages, and those ages 18 to 24 from work requirements.
