East Texas Capital Murder Suspect Appears In Court

An East Texas capital murder suspect is due in Smith County District Court today. The pre-trial hearing is for 25-year-old Gustavo Zavala-Garcia who is facing a possible death penalty for allegedly abducting and killing ten-year-old Kayla Gomez-Orozco, who disappeared from her church in Bullard. Her body was later found inside a well on the suspect’s property.
