RED RIVER COUNTY GENEALOGY MEETING
The Red River County Genealogical Society’s monthly meeting is Monday, Oct 10 at 7:00 pm. This month’s meeting is at The Hub Community Center, located at 501 W. Broadway in Clarksville, east of the Lennox House and one block behind The Old Church Theater. There will be signs on the front door showing which door to enter.
Margo McCutcheon will present the program for this month, the Educator/Interpreter at the Sam Rayburn House State Historic Site in Bonham. Her presentation will cover Sam Rayburn, one of the most powerful politicians in the 20th century and a representative of the Fourth District of Texas. They will discuss his political career, important laws he helped create or pass, and his home life.
All interested persons should come and enjoy the program.
