Execution Date Set For NE Texas Death Row Inmate

An execution date has been set by Eighth District Judge Eddie Northcutt for a condemned Hopkins County murderer. The date for 46-year-old Daniel Clate Acker for lethal injection is September 27. He was convicted of killing Marquetta “Markie” George in March of 2000. The execution order will be hand-delivered by Sheriff Lewis Tatum to the TDCJ in Huntsville Wednesday, May 9.
