Female Inmate Dies In Smith County Jail

A female inmate in the Smith County Jail is dead after she became unresponsive in the day room, and efforts to revive her were unsuccessful.EMS took 58-year-old Susan Taylor to UT Health, where she later died. They ordered an autopsy to determine the cause of Taylor’s death. Texas Rangers will investigate.
