Hopkins County Bookings

Sulphur Springs Police arrested a man in a stolen vehicle Monday morning after responding to a suspicious vehicle call. Further investigation turned up a baggie containing suspected methamphetamine, a woman’s military ID card, and a driver’s license belonging to another person. Officers arrested 41-year-old Joseph Todd Billingsley and booked him into the Hopkins County Jail, where his bond is $15,000 on the three felony charges. (Mug shot not available)

Sulphur Springs Police responded to a disturbance on North Davis street and made contact with Leeroy Cecilio Luna. He was arrested for Public Intoxication because he was determined to be a threat to himself and others. Witnesses told officers he had threatened another person with a knife, but they found no weapon on the scene. While officers were booking him, a jailer found a knife in Luna’s possession, and they charged him with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. Officials released him after he posted a $35,000 bond.
