Most Americans Say An Isolated Cabin With No Internet Seems Like The Perfect Lifestyle

According to a survey by Regina Corso Consulting, seven in ten Americans (69%) say that, sometimes, an isolated cabin in the woods without internet and cable TV seems like the perfect lifestyle. And almost nine in ten (87%) say this is one of the most divisive times in the United States in their lifetime. This doesn’t change much by age… nine in ten of those 18-35 years old (90%) and 45-54 years old (89%) feel this way as do almost nine in ten of those 35-44 years old (86%) and 55 and older (86%). Other findings:

• 49% say that compared to last year, their life, in general, is better
• 36% say it’s about the same
• 47% say their financial situation is better
• 37% say it’s about the same
• 24% say things in the country, in general, are better than last year
• 25% say things are about the same
• 40% say their levels of stress are better
• 38% say their levels of stress are about the same as a year ago
• 56% of men and 42% of women said their life, in general, is better than last year
• 70% say pay attention to political issues more today than they have in the past
• 15% say they have stopped paying attention to political issues because it was getting overwhelming, yet it seems that some information is getting through
• Over the past month, 61% say they’ve felt happiness often
• 36% say they’ve felt sadness often in the past month
