Mount Pleasant Community Baccalaureate service

The combined Classes of 2021 from Mount Pleasant and Chapel Hill High Schools were honored at the Mount Pleasant Community Baccalaureate Service on Wednesday, May 19, at First Baptist Church. Mount Pleasant High School Valedictorian, Isabella Greco, offered an opening prayer for the graduates. MPISD Superintendent Judd Marshall, and CHISD Superintendent, Marc Levesque, welcomed the guests and congratulated the seniors on their accomplishments, challenging each of them to use their talents and gifts to make the world a better place.

Dr. Clint Davis, the pastor of First Baptist Church, brought the central message of the evening, inviting them to be investors in their communities and reminding them to love the Lord with all their hearts and love their neighbors as themselves.

The graduates each received a Bible from their respective high school principals. The program ended with a special song, “The Blessing,” by the combined choirs of the two high schools. Chapel Hill Salutatorian, Olivia Nethercutt, prayed a closing prayer of blessing on all the attendees.

MPHS National Technical Honor Society selects officers

The Mount Pleasant High School chapter of the National Technical Honor Society (NTHS) has selected its officers for the 2021-2022 school year.
