Mt Pleasant Gets New Splash Pad

The City of Mount Pleasant will open its second splash pad location tomorrow at 9:00 am at Oaklawn Park. The splash pad is free to the public and will be open each day from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. The new splash pad features a programmed 15 minute spray time for several above ground apparatus. Oaklawn recently received several new improvements such as a remodeled bandstand and a new volleyball court. Oaklawn Park is located at 1103 Searcy Ave and includes amenities such as a third-mile walking trail, playground, a softball/baseball field, Restrooms and a concession stand, a lighted pavilion and lighted basketball court. “Oaklawn is just one of the many neighborhood family parks that the City of Mount Pleasant owns and maintains. We encourage families to get outside and enjoy them and take advantage of a safe and clean recreation areas,” says City Manager Mike Ahrens.
