The Mt. Vernon High School class of 1969 has scheduled the “69er Last-Time-Before-We-Die 50th Reunion Meal” at 2:00 pm on Saturday, June 1, in the meeting room of the El Manna Tex-Mex Restaurant at 615 I-30 West Service Road in Mt Vernon.
Everyone is welcome, including graduates from other classes who want to visit with the legendary 69ers as immortalized on Mt Vernon’s water tower: “We like whiskey; We like to win; We’re the class of ’69.”
Attendees will order off the menu in the high school tradition of separate checks. Designated drivers should accompany those who can’t say no to salsa. No RSVPs are required.
Upon arrival, attendees are asked to put on a name tag for the benefit of those who can’t recognize them because they’ve become so good looking.
The winning hula-hooper will receive a copy of a classmate’s “Kill a Moose for Jesus.” (Former professional belly dancers are not eligible.)
Bringing G-rated memorabilia for reminiscing is encouraged.
