New Law Protects Church Security From Legal Action

A new Texas law will give church security teams more protections. Senator Bryan Hughes of Mineola authors the bill and aims to protect safety teams at houses of worship who remove or use force on anyone disrupting a worship service. To be protected under the new law, the church must hire employees or volunteers with paperwork to prove it. The measure covers the possession or use of a firearm leading to death, damage, or injury.
