Oklahoma Teacher, Officer, Under Investigation

An Oklahoma educator and law enforcement officer is facing charges in Pushmataha County from an incident in a Rattan High School classroom. The county charged 54-year-old Russell Ray Bailey of Antlers with misdemeanor assault and battery. He’s on administrative leave from his teaching position and his job as a reserve officer with the Rattan Police Department. The Pushmataha district attorney’s office is investigating.
