One Dead In Van Zandt County Crash

Friday at midnight, there was a one-vehicle fatal crash on SH 243, approximately twelve miles west of Canton in Van Zandt County. The driver of a 1998 Chevrolet Silverado was traveling east on SH 243 when he drove across the northbound lane and into the north ditch for an unknown reason. The vehicle continued until it struck a large tree and caught fire.

The driver was Douglas Thomas Koller, 42, of Canton. Judge Sandra Plaster pronounced Koller at the scene, and they took him to Eubanks Funeral Home in Canton.
