Paris Police Report For Friday (Mar 9)

Decarlos Smith

Thursday morning before noon, Paris Police responded to George Wright Homes in regards to a disturbance. Allegedly Decarlos Smith, 40, had forced his way into the house and assaulted the complainant. Smith fled from the officers and apprehended in the 600-block of SW 6th. He admitted to throwing a bag of “dope” as he ran through the woods. Smith was placed under arrest and charged with burglary of a habitation, tampering with physical evidence, and two misdemeanor charges.

Michael York

Officers arrested Michael York, 37, in the 700-block of SW 19th on a warrant arrest.

Rodarian Davis

Police arrested Rodarian Davis, 32, and another subject in the 600-block of Hearon Street. They found Davis in possession of in possession of marijuana and methamphetamine. Davis was also found to have an outstanding parole violation warrant. The other subject was found to be in possession of marijuana and arrested on a misdemeanor charge.

Matthew Gilbert

Thursday evening officers observed Matthew Gilbert, 18, on NW 12th and discovered that he had outstanding warrants. Gilbert attempted to evade officers but was apprehended in the area of NW 13th and Booth Street. They reportedly found Gilbert in possession of a small amount of methamphetamine as well as drug paraphernalia. They also charged Gilbert with outstanding misdemeanor warrants out of the municipal court and outstanding warrants out of Lamar County for evading arrest with a vehicle, bail jumping, and misdemeanor warrants.

Paris Police Department received a report of a sexual assault of a child report. The report alleged that a child, under the age of 17, had been sexually assaulted by a known suspect. The investigation is ongoing.

Paris Police responded to 113 calls for service and arrested 13 people over the past 24 hours ending at 6:00 am Friday (Mar 9).
