Paris Police Report For Monday (Feb 14)

Carmine Caggiano

Paris Police located and arrested Carmine Caggiano in the 3000-block of NE Loop 286 St at 2:45 Friday afternoon on a Lamar County Felony probation warrant. They booked Caggiano and later transferred him to the Lamar County Jail. Caggiano is currently on probation for possession of a controlled substance conviction.

D’Andrea Buris

Paris Police arrested D’Andrea Buris, 23, of Honey Grove, at 4:07 Friday afternoon for a felony probation violation warrant. Buris is on probation for two credit card or debit card abuse convictions. Officers arrested Buris at the Lamar County Probation office. They placed Buris in the Lamar County Jail.

Paris Police responded to a burglary of a vehicle in the 1300-block of NW 7th st at 8:08 am Saturday. The victim reported that someone had taken two firearms and some jewelry from their car. The incident is under investigation.

Paris Police responded to a business burglary in the 2100-block of NE Loop 286 at 8:23 Saturday morning. The victim reported that he found the front door unlocked when he arrived for work last Thursday, and someone had stolen numerous power tools. The incident is under investigation.

Kenya Devonta Bell

Paris Police observed a vehicle near the 500-block of W. Campbell Saturday morning at 9:15 and knew the driver to have an outstanding felony warrant. The officer attempted to stop the car, and the driver fled. After a short pursuit, the driver, Kenya Devonta Bell, 29, of Clarksville, was arrested. During the investigation, Bell had possession of methamphetamine, and they charged him with possession of a controlled substance, evading arrest or detention with a vehicle, and tampering with evidence. Bell also had an outstanding felony warrant charging him with assault of a family member by impeding breathing with a previous conviction. They transferred Bell to the Lamar County Jail.

At 6:52 Saturday evening, Paris Police responded to the 300-block of Stone Ave about a theft of a vehicle. The victim reported that they had just arrived at the location and had entered their residence. Upon returning to the car a few minutes later, they found it missing. The victim did not know how the unknown suspect(s) had started the vehicle. Police later located it abandoned in the 1200-block of NE Loop 286. The investigation continues.

Paris Police met with a victim of an assault in the 500-block of SE 13th St at 4:06 Sunday morning. The 32-year-old victim reported that a known 39-year-old male had assaulted her. The victim said that the two were not in a dating relationship but would see each other from time to time. The victim reported that the victim received a call from another male while they were together. The suspect became angry, assaulted, and choked her. The suspect left the scene before officers arrived. The incident is under investigation.

Jayquan D. Ttennon

Jayquan D. Tennon, 27, was arrested in the 2100-block of E. Cherry St at 8:46 Sunday morning. They booked Tennon and transferred him to the Lamar County Jail. Tennon was known to have an outstanding felony warrant out of Lamar County, charging him with failing to register as a sex offender.

Paris Police responded to 210 calls for service and arrested 17 people on Sunday (Feb 13).
