Paris Police Report For Thursday (Feb 16)

Paris Police arrested Rebecca Marie Daniels, 48, of Paris, at 8:30 Wednesday morning in the 1300 block of N. Collegiate. Daniels had an outstanding felony probation violation warrant. She is currently on probation for possession of a controlled substance conviction. Officers booked and placed her in the Lamar County Jail.

Jerry Wayne Porter

Detectives of the Paris Police Department executed a search warrant on a residence in the 300-block of Grove St., searching for Jerry Wayne Porter, 50, who has an outstanding parole violation warrant. Detectives located Porter in a back bedroom and placed him under arrest. Detectives observed baggies of cocaine lying on the bed and issued a secondary search warrant that led to the discovery of cocaine, methamphetamine scales, and paraphernalia used in the manufacture or delivery of the illicit drugs. They added a charge of manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance. He was booked and later transferred to the Lamar County Jail.

Paris Police responded to 79 calls for service and arrested seven people on Wednesday (Feb 15).
