Paris Police Report For Wednesday (Jun 6)

A crash Tuesday night killed Ricky Lynn Jones, 53, of Deport and his wife, Edwina Kay Jones is at Paris Regional Medical Center in stable condition. Jones lost control of his vehicle on US 271 in Deport. Authorities confirmed that he and his wife ran off the road, hit a guardrail and overturned. The accident happened around 12:20 Tuesday morning.

Kwame Otoya Ferguson

Paris Police arrested Kwame Otoya Ferguson, 37, of Paris, in the 2000-block of E. Cherry around 10:45 Tuesday morning. He had a warrant charging him with criminal mischief of over $2,500 but less than $30,000. The warrant stemmed from a case reported in May 2018, where Ferguson allegedly damaged a vehicle in the 200-block of SW 19th St. Ferguson is in Lamar County Jail.

Shadrick Jerome Norman

Officers arrested Shadrick Jerome Norman, 42, of Paris, in the 900-block of Fitzhugh Ave Tuesday night after 9:00 on a warrant charging him with criminal nonsupport. He is in Lamar County Jail.

Carla Sue Young

During an investigation in the 600-block of E. Washington officers located Carla Sue Young, 57, and learned that she had two outstanding felony warrants out of the Lamar County Sheriff’s Office. The warrants charged Young with bail jumping and theft of property of less than $2,500 with two or more previous convictions. Young is in Lamar County Jail.
