Paris Police Report For Wednesday (May 30)

Tuesday afternoon Paris Police arrested Roger Hines, 55, and Jamie Hays, 41, while assisting the Lamar County Probation Department in the 600-block of S. Main. Officers found Hines and Hays in possession of less that one gram of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. The couple was placed under arrest and charged with possession of a controlled substance and a misdemeanor charge.

Just after 3:00 Tuesday afternoon, officers responded to a robbery complaint in the 3800-block of Lamar Ave. An unknown Hispanic male approached the complainant as she put items in her car. Allegedly the unknown man assaulted her and took her purse before fleeing the scene.

Paris Police responded to 100 calls for service and arrested six people over the past 24 hours ending at 6:00 am Wednesday (May 30).
