Record Heat Brings Level One Emergency

The Electric Reliability Council of Texas issued a Level One Emergency Electricity Alert.  ERCOT says the high temperatures have resulted in record electricity demand over the last few days and may result in a new record. Consumers are urged to raise their thermostats up 2-3 degrees and limit usage between 3 and 7pm.  No rolling blackouts have been reported.
