Five council members voted yes, one voted no, and there was one abstention, but a super majority was necessary to change the zoning.
At this week’s meeting, the Sulphur Springs City Council voted unanimously to annex 281.6 acres of property west of the Stonebriar neighborhood. The owner plans to build single-family homes on the property.
