No. 7 Lions postpone twinbill with No. 1 Southern Arkansas.

COMMERCE – The No. 7 Texas A&M University-Commerce softball team has postponed its doubleheader with No. 1 Southern Arkansas due to the winter storms. 

The Lions and Muleriders will now meet on Wednesday, March 24, at 3 p.m. at A&M-Commerce’s John Cain Family Softball Field.

A&M-Commerce announces basketball schedule adjustments.

COMMERCE – Texas A&M University-Commerce has announced multiple schedule changes for the women’s and men’s basketball schedules through the regular season due to the winter storms.

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL

They canceled the games scheduled for this Thursday and Saturday against Oklahoma Christian, and we will not reschedule.

The Lions will play two games at home next week, with a match against Midwestern State on Monday, February 22, at 5:30 pm and a non-conference game against Western New Mexico on Saturday, February 27, at 4:00 pm. 

MEN’S BASKETBALL

We canceled the home game scheduled for Thursday against Oklahoma Christian has been canceled and will reschedule. We moved the game at Oklahoma Christian to Sunday, February 21, at 2:00 pm in Oklahoma City. 

The Lions will play at Angelo State on Tuesday, February 23, a rescheduled game from a previous postponement. 

The home-and-home series with Cameron will see the sites switch with the dates remaining the same. The Lions will play in Commerce on Thursday, February 25, and in Lawton on Saturday, February 27, to close the regular season.

Lions ranked No. 18 in AVCA Division II Coaches’ Poll.

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Texas A&M University-Commerce volleyball team is ranked No. 18 nationally in the latest Division II Coaches Poll released by the American Volleyball Coaches Association. 

The Lions earned five-set wins over DBU in their first two matches before falling to UT-Tyler twice last week.

Spring 2021 opponents in this week’s rankings include No. 3 Angelo State and UT Tyler receiving votes.

A&M-Commerce resumes action in the 2021 spring season on Tuesday, February 23, at Texas Woman’s University.
