(AUSTIN) — Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar announced today he would send cities, counties, transit systems, and special purpose districts $1.3 billion in local sales tax allocations for February, 9.3 percent more than in February 2022.
They base the allocations on sales made in December by businesses that report monthly tax for October, November, and December by quarterly filers and 2022 sales by companies that report tax annually.
