Texas State Board of Education Wants To Change Date Designations

The Texas State Board of Education is considering eliminating the BC and AD calendar dating system and replacing it with more religiously-neutral language in social studies classes. BC would be replaced by BCE (Before Common Era) and AD would be replaced with CE (Common Era). The TEA says the issue will likely be discussed at length this fall.
