The Arizona Coyotes could be looking for a new home sooner than expected. The City of Glendale informed the team that it intends to lock the Coyotes out of Gila River Arena by Dec. 20 if they don’t pay all outstanding debts to the city and the management company for the arena.

On Wednesday, the University Interscholastic League released the conference cutoff numbers and preliminary enrollment figures for the 2022-2024 reclassification and realignment. The conference cutoff numbers provide the enrollment range for each of the six conferences, including divisional cutoffs for football. For 2A, it is 105 to 249, 3A 250-544, 4A 545-1,299, and 5A 1,300 to 2,224. The UIL also released the initial enrollments o increase transparency and provide additional verification of enrollment figures. School districts submitted these figures based on enrollment on Oct 29. You can find the preliminary enrollment numbers here. The UIL will release the 2022-24 alignments on Thursday, Feb 3, 9:00 am for football, basketball, and volleyball. In addition, they release district alignments for other activities by the middle of Mar 2022.
