TxDOT Crews Preparing For Winter Weather

Crews with the Texas Department of Transportation are preparing roadways in the event of wintry and icy conditions. TxDOT says that beginning Friday, January 12, crews will hit the streets to pretreat bridges and other roadway areas susceptible to wind and ice. TxDOT pretreats significant roadways with a brine solution of salt and water to prevent ice and snow from sticking to surfaces.
