Vaccine Distribution Moves To Phase 1B

State health officials have opened up vaccinations to Texans in Phase 1B. This includes Texans 65 years old and older and those with certain medical conditions. This is a part of Phase 1B of the state’s vaccine distribution plan. The previous group, phase 1A, included healthcare workers and first responders. Governor Greg Abbott and the state’s top health official are urging vaccine providers not to hold doses in reserve in order to facilitate a rapid distribution.
