Scammers Using QR Codes To Steal Your Information

QR codes are everywhere nowadays since they are such an easy and convenient way to share personal information. The Federal Trade Commission reports that scammers have figured out ways to exploit this technology. They use fake QR codes to trick people into giving away their personal information, and it even has a name, “quishing.” If you receive an unexpected text or email containing a QR code, especially if it asks you to act immediately, do not scan it.
