Rangers Investigating Fatal Officer Involved Shooting In Hopkins County

Texas Rangers are continuing to investigate the death of 61-year-old Jimmy De Odell, who was killed in a deputy-involved shooting in Como Tuesday afternoon. Hopkins County Sheriff Lewis Tatum says Odell had brandished a weapon when shots were fired. The deputy has been placed on routine administrative leave with pay. Odell had just been released from prison in April.
