Pickton Home Destroyed By Fire

Firefighters from Hopkins County Engine 20 and multiple volunteer departments responded to a house fire at about 12;37 Monday morning on CR 2398 just off FM 3019 in the Pickton Community. The structure was fully engulfed when firefighters arrived and the home is described as a total loss. Winnsboro and South Franklin Fire departments provided mutual aid and the Red Cross provided rehab to emergency responders and aid to the residents. There were no injuries. The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
