Austin is moving to Stage 5 COVID-19 restrictions. It is the strictest stage of recommendations for COVID-19 that the city can offer. The city is telling Austin residents to avoid all gatherings with anyone outside of their household and avoid in-person dining and shopping. Businesses, including retail and restaurants, are recommended to only operate through contactless options like delivery and curbside service.
