Bill Prohibiting Social Media Censorship Passes Texas Senate

A bill sponsored by State Senator Bryan Hughes aimed at preventing social media companies from censoring Texans based on the viewpoints they express passed the Senate by an 18-13 vote. Democrat Senator Roland Gutierrez spoke against the bill and said the Senate was asking for a court fight. The measure now goes to the house.
