Samsung Chooses Texas For Major Manufacturing Plant

Taylor, Texas, has landed the new $17 billion Samsung Semiconductor Manufacturing facility. At a Tuesday press conference at the Governor’s mansion, Governor Abbott called this the most significant direct foreign investment in Texas ever. Samsung already has two plants in Austin. Construction is in January, and the facility expects to bring 2,000 new jobs.
