Pilot Killed When Small Plane Crashes Into Edgewood House

A small plane went down in Van Zandt County in a residential area near Thompson Tailwind Airport in Edgewood. The plane crashed into a home, and the owners were not in the house at the time of the crash. The pilot, the only occupant of the aircraft, died. The plane was coming from Addison and going to land at the strip in Edgewood but missed the landing spot by about 300 to 400 feet.
