Lamar County Commissioners Declare County 2nd Amendment Sanctuary

Lamar County Commissioners have declared the county a Second Amendment Sanctuary. Under the measure, the county would prohibit the enforcement of any laws or regulations that would infringe on the rights of the public to keep and bear arms. Commissioner Lawrence Malone proposed the resolution.

Two Dead In Oklahoma House Fire

Two men died in a house fire in Pontotoc County Sunday night. They were identified as 74-year-old Ronnie Trout and his 40-year-old adult son Robert, both of Latta. The fire started when an electric space heater that had been plugged into an outlet strip shorted out.
