Bogata Mayor,City Council Member Resign

Bogata Mayor Vincent Lum and Councilman Don Roach resigned within seconds of each other’s city council meeting. Some spectators, many holding signs supporting police chief David Short and the department, cheered the departures. The Paris News reports that the dispute was over Lum’s request that the department generates more revenue. Chief Short had also requested a dollar raise for himself and the four-officer department.
