Early Voting Extension Before The Texas Supreme Court

Whether Governor Abbott has the authority to extend early voting during the pandemic is now in the hands of the Texas Supreme Court. The Republican Party of Texas has  petitioned the State Supreme Court to prevent Governor Abbott from extending early voting by six days. The court has yet to schedule a hearing in the case.
