Largest Wildfire In Texas History

Light snow covered scorched prairie, dead cattle, and burned-out homes in the Texas Panhandle on Thursday. The carnage was the result of the largest wildfire in Texas history. The Texas A&M Forest Services reports the Smokehouse Creek fire merged with another wildfire and is only a tiny fraction contained. The blaze devasted the small town of Stinnett. The fire so far has caused at least two human deaths and killed thousands of cattle.
