A California man has been arrested for the murder of a 23-old Ada man. Tyler Gene Melton died of a single gunshot wound that occurred near the intersection of West 6th Street and Hope Avenue. Jerry Gardner of Modesto was found in Holdenville by U.S. Marshals, Task Force Agents, and the Creek Nation Lighthorse Police K9 Units and taken into custody. He is being held in the Pontotoc County Jail.
