Mt Vernon Man Jailed In Sulphur Springs For Assaulting Girlfriend

Sulphur Springs Police responded to a disturbance call on Cranford late Saturday night and found signs that the situation had become violent. The victim told officers that her boyfriend, 40-year-old William Albert Holcomb of Mt Vernon, had choked her. He was later located at a nearby convenience store and arrested for Assault of a date, family, or household member by impeding breath or circulation and bail jumping. He’s in the Hopkins County Jail.
