Northeast Texas Community College Kicks Off Spring Sports Season

Northeast Texas Community College Softball will kick off the home games for the Spring 2022 season on Wednesday, February 2, against Cisco Junior College at Noon in a doubleheader. Head Coach Joshua Freeman returns for his sophomore season as Head Coach of the Eagle Softball program and will look to make waves in Conference play to earn a spot in the postseason. 

On Thursday, February 3, NTCC Baseball will kick off the season at home against Arkansas Rich Mountain in a doubleheader beginning at 1:00 pm. Head Coach Andy Morgan returns for his fifth season as Head Coach of the Eagles. 

The Eagle Softball team will also be at home Saturday, February 5, against North Central Texas College with a doubleheader beginning at 2:00 pm. 

The Eagle Softball team and Eagle Baseball programs play on the NTCC Campus located at 2886 FM 1735 Mount Pleasant, Texas. Tickets are $5 for adults and children, age five to nine is $3, and four and under are free. Concessions are available as well. Spring Season passes are for sale and available at the gate or contact Tiffany White at 903-434-8171.

Zoe Craven Named Longview Orthopaedic Clinic Athlete of the Week

Northeast Texas Community College Women’s Soccer athlete and student Athletic Trainer Zoe Craven has been named this week’s Longview Orthopaedic Clinic Athlete of the Week.

Zoe is a freshman Midfielder for the Northeast Texas Community College Women’s Soccer team and a student athletic trainer for the NTCC Athletic Training Program. Zoe is a Human Performance major from Kilgore, Texas, who excelled on and off the field. In addition to her soccer skills, Zoe achieved a 4.0 GPA for the Fall Semester while competing for the Eagle Soccer Program. Coach Zane Barnes said, “Zoe is one of the first to arrive at training and one of the last to leave and constantly puts the needs of the team before her own.”
