Paris Police Report For Monday (Feb 21)

Paris Police responded to the 200-block of S. Collegiate Dr. at 10:00 last Friday morning about fraud. The victim reported that someone had used their debit card to purchase merchandise online twice earlier on that date. The incidents are under investigation.

Daryl Joe Dunavin

Paris Police arrested Daryl Joe Dunavin, 43, of Cooper, at 3:37 Friday afternoon in the 3900-block of N. Main. Dunavin had an outstanding felony parole violation warrant. Officers transferred him to the Lamar County Jail.

Rodney Pierre Thomas

Paris Police responded to a possible narcotics violation in the 300-block of Bonham Friday night at 8:46. Officers located Rodney Pierre Thomas, 56, of Paris, and found three bond surrender warrants for his arrest. One of the warrants was for tampering or fabricating evidence charges. Also, Thomas had possession of marijuana and pills that he did have a prescription to possess. They placed Thomas in the Lamar County Jail.

Paris Police spoke with the victim of fraud at 4:27 Saturday afternoon, who reported that someone had used their debit to make a purchase online to the victim’s Fingerhut account. The incident is under investigation.

Paris Police responded to George Wright Homes about an assault at 2:41 Monday morning. A 22-year-old female reported that her boyfriend had assaulted her and choked her during an argument. The boyfriend left the scene before the officers arrived. The incident is under investigation.

Paris Police responded to 198 calls for service and arrested five persons over the weekend ending at midnight on Sunday (Feb 20).
