With winter weather approaching northeast Texas, the Texas A&M University-Commerce and the University of Texas at Tyler softball programs have canceled the co-hosted Irwin Classic. 

Texas A&M University-Commerce volleyball team suffered its first loss of the season on Tuesday night, falling in three sets at UT Tyler. Set scores were 25-15, 25-12, 26-24. UT Tyler is now 5-0 on the year, while A&M-Commerce is 2-1. (Box Score (PDF)

Texas A&M University-Commerce women’s golf team fought back from a 12-stroke deficit entering play Tuesday to earn a one-stroke victory in the Jack Brown Memorial hosted by Texas A&M International University.

The No. 7 Texas A&M University-Commerce women’s basketball team could not overcome early shooting woes, falling to Cameron University 66-61 in the Field House on Tuesday afternoon.

LeTourneau junior Jack Miller (Diana, Texas) placed second in the pole vault, among NCAA Division I and II competition, clearing 4.90 meters (16 ft.-0.75 in.) the Herm Wilson Invitational in Wichita, Kan. 

East Texas Baptist junior outside hitter Allie Fennell (Gilmer, Texas) hit .333 with nine kills and a pair of blocks in the Tigers’ five-set victory over Hardin-Simmons.

Student Athletic Trainer Erica Austin will be joining the Texas A&M University-Commerce Athletic Training program in the Fall of 2021.

Erica came to NTCC from Texarkana Pleasant Grove High School in the Fall of 2019 and has worked with each of the Eagle Athletic Teams in her two years here at NTCC.
