Twenty Acres Burned Near Pat Mayse Lake

  A controlled burn that got out of hand destroyed about 20 acres near Lake Pat Mayse. Firefighters from 10 volunteer departments in Lamar County battled the blaze, and the Paris Fire Department provided mutual aid. There were no injuries in the blaze, which took about 2 hours to extinguish.
