East Texas Man Guilty Of Woman’s Murder

An East Texas man was sentenced in Smith County Friday to life in prison for the murder of a mother of four. The court convicted 51-year-old David Thompson for killing Jaci Wilkerson, who was found dead at a Tyler apartment complex in a pool of blood. Investigators believe he killed her with a machete. A machete was reportedly found on Thompson’s bed inside the apartment with a “significant amount of blood.”
